SCHOLARSHIPS PROGRAM

The Scholarships Program was created to support children and youth with a monetary contribution each month to continue their studies, improve their living conditions and allow them to reach their dreams.

Our goal is to promote the right to education that everyone has, through a contribution provided by the sponsors, to combat illiteracy in the country and prevent their studies from being interrupted due to lack of financial resources, allowing outstanding students to continue with their academic development. With our support, many students are having the opportunity to improve their living conditions as well as their families. We seek children and young people be proactive, not only within their family circle but within society by having more chances of being successful professionals or undertaking their own businesses.

Scholarships are offered to the students in grades: Elementary school, Middle School, High school and College.

Our priority are the students that live in rural areas in conditions of poverty or extreme poverty that, without our support, could not being able to continue their studies.

We think it’s very important to reduce the dropouts rate from middle school and up, since an alarming number of students withdraw from their studies in 6th grade. That is why this group age is the target group of our program. Scholarships are granted to students with good grades, as well as to students with disabilities.

Achievements

Fredi Osvaldo Alvarez González

At the age of 3 years old, Fredy was attending a school for deaf children. He got a scholarship thanks to the efforts of his school’s principal.

Since then, Fredy and his family’s life changed for the better. They started to receive monthly financial support to be used in his school supplies. Fredy’s school was far from his home, and they struggled a lot. Thanks to the scholarship, it was easier for them to afford all the expenses.

Due to the pandemic, their financial situation got worse. Living Heritage started giving support to the students that are part of the Foundation’s scholarship program.

The students and their families receive bags of groceries, internet, and online school tutoring.

Fredy was provided with a sign language interpreter to support him in his online classes.

Fredy’s academic development is truly a wonderful example for all the scholarship students to follow.

How many students have Living Heritage Foundation had?

Throughout 13 years of work, Living Heritage Foundation has granted more than 900 scholarships with which the lives of hundreds of families have changed, allowing them to have a bright future.
