Many more children are waiting
Autism is increasingly recognized in Guatemala, but specialized education remains out of reach for most families. There are many more children with autism seeking an opportunity — and a window is all they need.

1 in 160 children
Global autism prevalence — and Guatemala is no exception. In rural highlands, diagnosis and therapy are rare and costly.

No specialized classroom
Public schools lack trained staff and individualized support. A private therapy center costs a full month's minimum wage.

Families ready to try
Parents walk hours, sit outside classrooms, and give everything — they just need a partner to open the door.
Sponsoring one child opens their window to the world. The need is far greater than our current capacity.
What sponsorship provides
Not a donation — a full year of individualized care. One sponsorship covers the complete journey.
Center-Based Learning
Daily attendance at a specialized autism center — small groups, trained therapists, personalized curriculum.
Clinical Support
Neurologist evaluation, therapy plans, home assessments, and medications when prescribed.
Family Accompaniment
Monthly follow-ups, parent training, and operational continuity — year-round.
From one mother’s wait to a program
A mother waited outside her son Erick's classroom three times a week — helping a teacher manage 30+ students while her autistic son received no individual attention. Private therapy cost a month's wages, out of reach.
We shared Erick's story with a beloved volunteer physician. Without hesitation he said: "I want to help Erick attend a special education program where he can truly learn." The next day Pablo's family came forward. The answer: "We will take Pablo too."
Erick and Pablo became the first two children in what would grow into Windows to the World.
"I don't care what I have to do. It is all worth it to pursue an education and find opportunities for Erick."— Erick's Mother · Guatemala
